Introducing Kathak Ki Kahani!

Hi, my name is Ahana Chandra, and my passion is Kathak. A dance enthusiast for the last 8 years, I have been through it all. The beginning, when I was excited and scared and looked at my seniors in awe. The second phase when I used to cry both before and during class because I just wasn`t able to do those complicated footwork. The third phase when I saw the size of my class half because school took precedence, and they just didn’t enjoy it anymore.  And now. I still feel like I have so much to learn and I`m not even close to touching the depths of this art form. I feel like Kathak is this vast ocean, and I`m still in the shallow, but in the last 8 years I have learnt so much, and I`ve realized that Kathak is more than just sharp movements and rhythmic tapping. It is emotion and feeling and I finally know why it’s called art. Through this page, I want to share with you the passion that was inculcated in me and take you with me as I explore the endless horizons of kathak.
